I was driving home from work one day a few months ago, taking the route I usually do, until I had a sudden realization that I was on a road I had never seen before.
I was dreamy and spaced out before that sudden realization and couldn’t remember when I had made the turn onto that road.
I managed to find my way back to my original route a few minutes later but the next day I wasn’t able to find that road again.
Anyway, it got me thinking… in the middle ages that would be explained by fairies. 50 years ago, it would have been aliens. 20 years ago? Men in Black-type government conspiracy.
But here in the year 2019 my first thought was “oh god I clipped across the map.”
anyway my hometown was designed by Bethesda.

ive never watched tidying up but i’ve spent the last, like, day furious on marie kondo’s behalf because of nerds who misinterpreted her advice and even flatout made shit up (!!!) because they just looooooooooooove books so much yet mysteriously lack reading comprehension
there’s this lady who’s almost fifty who like i guess heard someone mention the idea of asking yourself if each book you own “sparks joy” in you before deciding whether to keep it or not, and then promptly took a wild leap to the conclusion that this eeeevil witch-harpy is telling people they shouldn’t like books that don’t have happy endings and aren’t all sunshine and rainbows and wrote an entire article for The Guardian about it and, i’m not making this up, keeps talking on Twitter about “leading an ‘’’uprising’’’ against her”
